About Frederick Hart
Renowned artist and sculptor Frederick Hart, known for his classical style, began his journey as an apprentice at the National Cathedral in Washington DC. His breakthrough arrived when his design won a competition for the Cathedral's facade, featuring a 13-year masterpiece, a 21 X 15-foot bas-relief sculpture depicting the Creation. Notably, Hart designed the "Three Soldiers bronze sculpture" for the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial, contrasting Maya Lin's abstract work. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in South Carolina,
Hart stood against contemporary art, emphasizing substance and beauty in his work. Recognized as America's foremost representational artist, he upheld realism and was honored as an esteemed member of The American Society of Classical Realism Guild of Artists. "My work isn't art for art's sake, it's about life. I have no patience with obscure or unintelligible art - I want to be understood."

Size: h: 22" x 10" x 17" Michael Wilkinson
Originally from California and initially trained as an architect, Michael Wilkinson embarked on his artistic journey in New York back in 1979. It wasn't until 1985 that Wilkinson made a remarkable shift from exclusively working with bronze to exploring the then-nascent medium of cast acrylic. A trailblazer in this field, Wilkinson employs acrylic to craft surreal and imaginative realms, conveying intricate concepts while maintaining a foundation in realism within his artistry.
In contrast to traditional sculptures, Wilkinson's acrylic creations defy conventional boundaries; they lack a definitive front or back, inviting observers to explore and experience them holistically. With acrylic, he ingeniously sculpts "light," continually pushing the boundaries of innovation.
"My acrylic sculptures fuse the realms of figurative and abstract forms, a fusion that I find incredibly engaging and ideally suited to the medium of acrylic. Beginning with clay—a humble substance. I end up fashioning an ethereal universe bathed in luminosity. Acrylic sculpture presents a unique quality, it's transparent, revealing an inner dimension, a 'fourth dimension,' enabling viewers to peer into the artwork. Yet, this characteristic poses a significant challenge in working with the material, given that the original sculpture model is opaque clay or plaster. While sculpting the model, I must envisage, through the plaster, the intricate interplay of reflections and refractions that will manifest in the final translucent artwork."
